ACCESS STATEMENT FOR CHAPEL CROFT GUEST HOUSE
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors where possible, the following statement is a summary of our provision. Please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.
The nearest airport is Manchester and is approximately 35 minutes away by car. The nearest train station (Congleton) is 5 minutes away by car. We are not on a local bus route, we have a good website with a map located on page 3.
Arrival and Car ParkingWe are on the main street in the village, on arrival to Chapel Croft our entrance has a 12 foot ( 3.657metres ) gate opening. The surface of the drive is a mixture of cobbles and smooth concrete with marked parking spaces. The surface is flat with enough parking for 6 cars.
Bedroom 1 is on ground floor level and at the bottom of the stairs it has a single ensuite.The en-suite has a shower cubical with electric push button shower, the sink has cross head tops (easy to turn) and toilet. The bedroom has a television, tea and coffee tray, a single bed and is fully carpeted.
Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are situated on the upper floor and are accessed by climbing a staircase with banister rail. There are 12 steps in total each tread is 7 ins ( 178 mm ) high and 10 ins ( 254 mm ) in depth the stairs have a rise of 3 steps up before 2 risers on a 90 degree to the left. The stairs and hallway are fully carpeted.Bedroom 2 the bedroom has a television, tea and coffee tray and a double bed. This room has an en-suite shower room which has a shower cubical with electric shower, sink with cross head taps (easy to turn) and toilet. This room is fully carpeted. Bedroom 3 is located along the hallway and has a television, tea and coffee tray and has a double bed. This room has an en-suite shower room with cubical and lever shower fittings, sink with cross head taps (easy to turn) and toilet. This room is fully carpeted.Bedroom 4 is located at the end of the hallway. This room has a television, tea and coffee tray, a double bed and a single bed. This room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath with lever shower fittings, sink and toilet and is fully carpeted.
Approaching the front door there are flat paving slabs to 3 steps. The first step is 5 ins ( 127 mm ) high by 1 foot ( 305 mm ) in depth, the second step is 7 ins ( 178 mm ) high by 14 ins ( 355 mm ) in depth and the third step in 5 ins ( 127 mm ) high by 18 ins deep ( 457 mm ). The porch has a small step which is 2 ins ( 50.8 ) high, there is a seat provided, the floor is stone slabs. The entrance hall has 1 step up which is7.5 ins ( 190.5 mm ) high.
Guest Lounge Area
The guest lounge is approached off the entrance hall, there are no steps, and there is an oak wood floor and rugs. The dining room is off the guest lounge, there are no steps and the floor is oak wood and rugs.
Outdoor FacilitiesThere is ample seating in the garden where guests can relax on nice summer evenings with refreshments.
The nearest shops are in the village of Biddulph Moor approximately 2 miles away (a Spar and Londis). The nearest towns are Biddulph, Congleton, Leek and Hanley.
